Cacao y mas Cacao in Bogotá offers a focused and intimate chocolate experience that feels genuinely local and crafted with care. Nestled on a quieter street, this small chocolate café and artisan shop blends a cozy indoor setting with the rich traditions of Colombian cacao, making it a spot for true chocolate aficionados and curious visitors alike.

The café’s interior is modest, with just a few small tables, creating a space that invites quiet conversation over carefully prepared chocolate drinks. The emphasis here isn’t on bustling crowds but on savoring the depth and variety of flavors that come from high-quality, local cacao. Visitors will find the menu peppered with chocolate drinks that range from the classic hot chocolate to innovative blends like the Chocolate Completo and Chocoexpreso. Pairing these with small bites like brownies or chocolate cake feels like a natural extension of the experience, not an afterthought.

This place tends to draw a mixed crowd: locals who appreciate artisanal chocolate and families seeking engaging activities, as the café also offers chocolate-making classes for both kids and adults. This educational angle gives it a welcoming, immersive quality beyond a typical visit for a quick coffee or dessert.

Morning or late afternoon visits work best here, when the atmosphere is calm and the staff attentive—many guests note the welcoming service that helps guide newcomers through tasting different cacao varieties. For those seeking rich, authentic Colombian chocolate away from loud tourist spots, this café provides a nuanced taste journey, especially for people who enjoy exploring chocolate flavors made with care and unconventional pairings, like lightly salted chocolates or chocolate crafted with local liquors.

While prices are on the higher side, reflecting the artisanal approach and premium ingredients, the overall vibe is worth it for anyone interested in the culture of cacao in Colombia. Whether you’re picking up a gift or settling in with a specialty chocolate drink paired with a brownie, the experience here feels purposeful and connected to Bogotá’s growing craft chocolate scene.

The best place to try great Colombian chocolate in bogota! The cacao drinks with water are sooo flavorful and the little chocolates are incredible as well. The lightly salted chocolates were my favorite, but you just have to try them all to be honest because they are all very very good. The cakes are delicious as well. Service is very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it if your visiting Bogota! They do offer tours of a cacao farm outside of Bogota as well which we will definitely be doing next time we are here.

A wonderful experience, while I was there the service was AMAZING, and while the prices are a little expensive it is due to the quality of the cacao, making it very worth it. Most of the products are hand-made and very exquisite for the taste. This is a must go when you are in Bogota Colombia. I found this store while I was looking hand-made chocolate in Amazon.

MUST GO when in Bogota if you love chocolate - it's a paradise! The cacao is organic and sourced from varied geographies in Colombia. Every product will blow your mind, from the cacao granité to the chocolate cake to the nibs to the chocolates on display. The women who run the store are kind and passionate about traditional Colombian cacao. I've come 3 times to Colombia and 3 times I've made it a point to come here. Cacao itself is unlike chocolate, so bright and fruity that it's truly a unique and delicious experience!

A must visit in Bogota. They use only the very best cacao beans from Colombia. This family owned business makes a variety of handmade artisanal chocolate products.

After lunch at Origen I searched for postre chocolate and this was 2 blocks away in Candelaria. I am glad I walked over. Lots of cacao and coffee drink options hot or cold. The chocolate cake is absolutely amazing. Novia and Maracuya were also great. I tried the farmer cacao and chelate both excellent. I love local and family owned businesses like this. I met the daughter who speaks fluent English and her parents are the owners. Super genuine and nice people. If you are in Candelaria area stop by here for a drink and try some m chocolate and support local :) they take cash or credit card (visa/Mastercard) with 25,000 minimum on credit cards.
